Arranging honeymoons is one of our specialities, and we have no hesitation in recommending Zanzibar as a honeymoon destination par excellence.
Not least amongst our reasons for this is the issue of cost. Even for something as special as a honeymoon, no budget will ever be unlimited. However in contrast to many other similar tropical paradises, most budgets can be catered for on Zanzibar. The price per night that you might pay may vary by a factor of ten or more - but the quality of your experience will lie within much closer bounds than this.
After coming all this way, it would be a shame not to experience the other delights that Africa has to offer - not least of which is that of big game viewing, out on safari. Lastly, we can usually arrange one or more special treats for you whilst on honeymoon - a special honeymoon suite, romantic dinner on the beach, sunset cruise , and so on.
Zanzibar East ($60 pppn)
A relatively new lodge which is fast achieving a great reputation. Located on an idyllic beach, small, intimate and friendly.
Zanzibar North ($75 pppn)
An inexpensive family-run beach hotel, situated only a short walk from most of Nungwi's activities.
Stone Town ($94 pppn)
A medium-sized hotel located in the heart of Stone Town, which still retains its historic Swahili style, but adjusted to Western standards.
Zanzibar East ($95 pppn)
Pongwe Beach Hotel combines unbeatable value and great location on one of Zanzibar's finest beaches.
Zanzibar West ($100 pppn)
Not far from Stonetown, Fumba offers a wide range of activities and a great beach.
Zanzibar North ($105 pppn)
A rather larger boutique hotel, situated on the northern tip of the island, and finished to a very high spec.
Stone Town ($110 pppn)
Another small, intimate, boutique hotel located right in the heart of Stone Town, and offering a highly personal and friendly service.
Zanzibar South ($111 pppn)
Largest (and cheapest) of the three hotels in the Breezes/Palms/Baraza chain, all situated on this most secluded of Zanzibar's beaches.
